Upon arriving in Kathmandu (Tribhuvan International Airport), our representative will meet you and help you transfer to your hotel by private bus. Enjoy a free evening to explore Kathmandu and recover from your jet-lag.
Leaving the bustling metropolitan centre of Kathmandu, we head north towards Shivapuri National Park, passing Bouddhanath and Gorkana Forest along the way. Entering the National Forest at Sundarijal, we start our trek through pristine forests, passing the occasional river. When we reach the top of the ridge that makes up Shivapuri Park, we can look back over the entire Kathmandu Valley. Pressing onwards, we descend to Chisapani for the night.
Sunrise in Chisapani offers views of the Ganesh Himal in delicate pastel hues. Enjoy the view while breakfast awaits you back at the hotel. From Chisapani, the trail descends through forests and agricultural land to Nagarkot, one of the most popular resort towns in the Valley.
Get a glimpse of Everest in the early morning from a viewpoint on the outskirts of Nagarkot before the cloud cover sets in. Returning to Kathmandu by car, we can stop at the temple of Changu Narayan, a World Heritage site off the beaten path for most tourists and popular local picnic spot next to the Manahara Khola with views of the Ganesh Himal. Driving south, we arrive at Bhaktapur, one of the three original kingdoms in the Kathmandu Valley. History awaits you around every corner in Bhaktapur, with its series of well-preserved city squares and narrow, bustling streets.
