Difficulty Level of Tibet Tour 9 Night 10 Days

The difficulty level of a Tibet Lhasa tour can be regarded as moderate, so tourists with average physical health should not face serious problems. Nonetheless, one should not underestimate the difficulties that arise due to the altitude.

As to the main risk factors, it is important to note that the major issue that might bother the guests of Lhasa is the altitude. Acute mountain sickness is a fact where one can get headaches, dizziness, nausea, and shortness of breath. To reduce the impact of these effects it is advisable to take the first two days just to rest, avoid intensive physical activities, and drink a lot of water.

Regarding the physical involvement, the Lhasa tour is moderately tiring, especially when it comes to sightseeing in the area, including the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Sera Monastery. Such places involve the use of many stairs and also irregular surfaces and to this, one may get tired but not that exhausted to the extent of getting a heart attack. Shoes that are suitable for walking are also advised as are some basic levels of fitness as the hike is quite a tiring experience.

However, a Tibet Lhasa tour is always a wonderful experience despite the obstacles that are bound to one’s way. The Tibetan plateau, the monastic feel in religious places, and the welcoming nature of the Tibetan people are some of the myriad reasons to make this journey. Providing measures for altitude control while choosing moderate trekking and being mentally ready for hard physical work, everyone will have an opportunity to have a wonderful time in this mysterious area.

Because Tibet is located at a high altitude with few tourism facilities/services around, so they do not take chances in case something happens there. Travel insurance will protect/help you out.

And considering it's a remote destination, ensuring your worry-free vacation is obligatory. Travel insurance also protects you if you have to cancel the tour at the last minute or if something goes wrong during the trip. The Tibet Tourism Bureau might not compulsorily require it, but it is always necessary to take precautions when travelling. Be sure it covers high-altitude travel and emergency evacuation.

    An Epic Tibetan Adventure

Our friend was in Nepal last year, and he recommended Adventure Altitude for our Tibet tour. From arrival until departure, everything was taken care of. Upon having our breakfast, during our tour, the guide always ensured we were comfortable and had everything that we needed. The hotels provided during the tour are all great except one in Shigatse, which I rate more as a guest house than a hotel. One stop that we love is Namtso Lake, where you get to see many yaks.

    Unveiling the Magic of Tibet

Adventure Altitude Trek's 9-night, 10-day Tibet tour was everything I expected and much more. We spent 10 days in Lhasa, seeing the cultural/historical sites and exploring with our wonderful guide, Tenchuong. It was great to have those days to acclimatise before heading off on the drive to Everest Base Camp. The trip was a fantastic physical and geographical experience. Overall, we saw Mount Everest. Tenchuong was a passionate, knowledgeable guide who ensured we got the best out of every stop. Thank you, Adventure Altitude Trek, for such an amazing Tibetan adventure.
