Kailash Mansarovar Yatra Tour Information
Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is the holy, life-changing 10-day tour to Mt. Kailash in Tibet- is one of the most important pilgrimages for Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and Bon followers. We can tailor-make the itinerary according to your needs in a small group or with big participants around the world, including NRIs and travellers from the USA or any other country. It lies on the Nepal-Tibet border, and the most scenic overland route from Kathmandu is via Dhunche, Syabrubesi, or Timure.
The tour crosses over the Tibet border at Rasuwagadhi after performing all immigration procedures and then goes via Kerung and Saga, including appropriate stops for acclimatisation. Mt. Kailash towers to a height of 6,638 m above sea level and is considered the abode of Lord Shiva or Buddha Demchok. It lies near the origin of four important Asian rivers-namely the Brahmaputra, Sutlej, Indus, and Karnali. The attraction that Kailash has for mountaineers does not lie in its height but rather in the spiritual aspect; no climber ever did or would dare to summit the peak, adding to the mystique.
The 52-km Kora (Parikrama) around Mount Kailash is a spiritual and physical journey accomplished in three days. The trail takes you through some of the most breathtaking scenery on the planet and is physically demanding, with an average altitude of over 4,500m before reaching the highest point at the Dolma La Pass (5,860m). On this trek, we will visit Dirapuk Monastery and Milarepa’s meditation cave – both places steeped in old-time Tibetan Buddhist culture. We also make our way by jeep to Lake Mansarovar – said to cleanse one’s sins just by laying eyes upon it. We will return to Kathmandu from here using the same itinerary.
This trip is about splendid terrain coupled with rugged beauty. This is for real adventure enthusiasts who don’t mind undergoing some physical discomforts while on holiday – due perhaps to too simple accommodation or staying in tents in remote locations away from modern development but never far from ancient civilization and always close to unspoiled nature.

Can Traveller Do Kailash Charan Sparsh and The Inner Kora – Nandi Parikrama?
Inner Kora – Nandi Parikrama Status 2025 and 2026
The Inner Kora is banned at the moment in the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, as there was an incident; pilgrims are not allowed to do this tough and high-altitude trek anymore.
Charan Sparsh Status 2025 and 2026
Charan Sparsh is not banned and, therefore, the most reachable part of the pilgrimage. Charan Sparsh means touching Mount Kailash from a distance to connect spiritually with this holiest of holy mountains. If any pilgrim wants to do the Charan Sparsh, then they will have to inform their Tibetan guide in advance, and he will have to make arrangements for it. Most Pilgrims do it after leaving Darchen and starting the kora. Actually, one can also do a Charan Sparsh from day one of starting the kora as you leave Darchen early in the morning at about 5 AM. However, a Charan Sparsh can be done only as an offering when, by now, the pilgrims are relatively fit and good walkers as they still have to walk long that day. Since they cannot touch Mount Kailash literally, they make salutations from far, at least.
