                      • The Annapurna Base Camp Trail is classified as moderately difficult because of too many ascends and descends . For trekkers who are experienced can find this trail rather easy but for those who are amateur , this trail can be challenging as they to stop time and again to catch breathe. As mentioned earlier , the trail has too many ascends and descends along the stone paved route which may make trekkers feel fatigued early. However , if you have a well-planned itinerary , any challenging trails can be conquered. At Adventure Altitude Treks and Expeditions , we help our customers to get the best suited itinerary.

                      • Trekking can be done any time in Nepal because of its diverse geography . But the best time to do this or any of the trek in Nepal is from March to May and September to November. During these times , the visibility is perfect with clear blue skies , clear and pleasant weather. During rainy season, the trails are slippery and muddy thus making it hard to trek , And in winter , the Himalayan region experience heavy snowfall up to 4 feet deep. The temperature can go below up to -15 degrees . The visibility is low and the trails are covered with snow . You may get lost so its better to hire a professional guide and porter .

                      • The maximum altitude gained while trekking Annapurna Base Camp is 4,315 m.

                      • To do Annapurna Base Camp Trek , two permits are required. A TIMS ( Trekkers Information Management System ) and one Annapurna Conservation Area Entry Permit. Both permit can be obtained at tourism office in Kathmandu and Pokhara. Local trekking agents will get you these permits if you are going through an agency . Be sure to keep permits with you or give it to your guide as it is checked in various places along the way. The permits works only for one trek . So if you want to do another trek , you need to apply for another permit .

                      • While you are at Kathmandu and Pokhara, you can find any type of accommodation , from cheap to expensive. While on the trail , your most of the accommodation will be tea houses with electricity , hot shower , internet . Food is typical Nepali food that includes lentils , rice, curry (veg and non-veg) , pickles etc. But you can also have other foods like MO: MOs . Chowmin, Spaghetti , Burger etc. Hot Shower and internet may cost you a small amount depending on the hotel you are staying. The beds are comfortable and some rooms may have attached bathroom. Most of the rooms are designed on twin sharing basis so mostly a room is equipped with two beds , one table , a pair of slippers . You can request an extra blanket with no charge.

                      • Depending on the itinerary , the trek may take from 7 to 12 days to complete.

                      • Anyone can trek Annapurna Base Camp as it is the most famous trekking destination of Nepal. The trail is filled with lots of tea houses , trail marks and you also encounter may trekkers during the trek. Also if you are an experience trekker , this trek should be easy .

However , we recommend our guests to hire a porter and a guide . A porter will carry your belongings so that you don't have to carry all the weight in such harsh landscapes. A guide will tell you every bit of information you will need during the trek. There are many places of interests which carry cultural and historical values. We provide you guides with exceptional knowledge about the places . Not only that , a guide will take care of your accommodations and food so you don't need to roam around searching for accommodations.
