After a morning meal at Darchen, walk the short distance to Yamadwar, the beginning of Mount Kailash Kora (parikrama). Pilgrims believe the Yamadwar, or 'Gateway to God of Death', is very holy. Walk out in view of the north face of Mount Kailash, its distinctive shape rising above the horizon. The walk takes one along the Lha Chu Valley, with sheer cliffs and waterfalls on each side.

En route, you will see other pilgrims doing prostrations along the path. You will be given a packed lunch to carry with you at one of the rest stops in the peaceful surroundings.

Proceed 13 kilometers to Dirapuk Monastery at 4,900 meters altitude. The monastery provides nice views of the north face of Mount Kailash, which is breathtakingly beautiful, particularly at sunset. Night halt and evening as well as lunch will be arranged in a local nearby guest house to the monastery with basic but humble amenities.

The final day of the Kailash Kora starts with an easy 7km trek from Zutulpuk Monastery to Darchen. The pilgrims breakfast at the monastery and then trek on a flat path along wide valleys along with yak grazing meadows and tiny streams.

The route is very flat, and pilgrims may relax and recall their experience as they catch the last view of Mount Kailash. The route is lined with prayer flags and Mani stones, signaling the completion of the deity circuit.

The team is then taken back to Darchen by a one-hour drive from the location, where lunch is served at a nearby restaurant.

There is a lunch break before resuming the drive in the form of a scenic 140 km road trip to Ali Airport (or Ngari Gunsa Airport). The drive meanders through an enormous, flat Tibetan plain that goes many miles away into the horizon and a scenic distant range of mountains and nomadic camps. Dinner en route or at a roadside restaurant near the airport. The trekker overnight stays at the airport in a simple hotel so that he may leave early in the morning on an early flight.
