Following a remarkable flight to Everest by helicopter, I ended up with additional duration to spare in Nepal and longing for hikes. The experience of spending 20 days on the Manaslu Tsum Valley trek with Adventure Altitude Treks was phenomenal. During the journey, the accommodations were great, too; they also represented the local flavor. The facilities were praiseworthy, making it agreeable to be there while on trekking. Experienced guides conversant with local subtleties gave substance to this adventure, and their friendly nature made the trip even better. Even though it was decided on the spur of the moment to go to Muktinath, this physically could have been a big problem. Luckily, Adventure Altitude Treks were there to help us out. The journey began with views that would leave anyone’s jaw dropped from Lukla. Rohit arranged for me a window seat; it let me enjoy the beautiful view of the Himalayas from close. The flight was exciting and calm as we flew over rough scenery and snow-capped peaks. The whole thing was so overpowering that I could not say anything, which helped me realise how vast nature is. My husband and I, both in our 60s but not experienced hikers, started the ten-day Poonhill Trek.
